Health & safety disclaimer
Last updated: 26 September 2026
Please read this page carefully before booking a conversation or taking part in a master plant dieta or ayahuasca ceremony. By using this website or booking with us, you confirm that you have read and understood it.
Not medical advice
Nothing on this website, in our conversations, or in any preparation or integration material is medical, psychological or psychiatric advice, diagnosis or treatment. The information we share is educational and is offered from the perspective of Shipibo tradition and our own experience.
Cameron Whiteley (“Amigo Cameron”, trading as CW Coaching) is not a licensed medical doctor, psychiatrist, psychologist, pharmacist or other regulated healthcare professional. The Shipibo maestros and maestras are traditional healers, not licensed medical practitioners. Coaching and integration support is not therapy and is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.
Health and safety intake
The health and safety intake and our conversations help us decide, as best we can, whether a dieta is likely to be suitable for you. They are not a medical assessment and do not replace one. We may decline or postpone a booking at our discretion, but a decision to go ahead is not a statement that the experience is medically safe for you.
Before booking, you should speak with your own doctor or a suitably qualified healthcare professional about your physical and mental health, any medications or supplements you take, and whether ayahuasca, master plants, fasting and the dieta restrictions are appropriate for you. Never stop, reduce or change any medication without the guidance of the professional who prescribed it.
You agree to answer the intake fully and honestly, and to tell us promptly about any change in your health, medication or circumstances before you travel.
Plant descriptions and research
Descriptions of plants reflect how they are traditionally understood and used. Where we mention scientific research, including laboratory or early-stage studies, this is for general interest only. It does not mean a plant will treat, cure or prevent any condition, and we make no such claims. Some plants carry real risks, including toxicity and interactions with medications.
Personal responsibility and risk
Ayahuasca ceremonies and master plant dietas are intense physical, emotional and spiritual experiences. They can involve vomiting and purging, fasting, strong emotions, altered perception and challenging psychological states, and they take place in a remote jungle setting some distance from hospital care. Experiences and outcomes differ from person to person and no particular result is promised.
You take part voluntarily and at your own risk, and you are responsible for your own decisions and wellbeing before, during and after your dieta. You are also responsible for arranging suitable travel and health insurance, any vaccinations or travel health advice, and for understanding the laws that apply to you in Peru and in your home country.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, injury, illness or damage arising from your use of this website, your reliance on any information in it, or your participation in a dieta or ceremony. Nothing in this disclaimer limits any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
Emergencies
If you are in crisis or need urgent help, contact your local emergency services or a qualified healthcare provider straight away. Our messages and integration support are not an emergency service.
